USD Support - VRay Material Exporter missing

V-Ray V-Ray for Maya Issues

As in the title.
I am missing an option to export USD with VRay materials.
Strangely enough, it happens on all 3 different machines I check but ONE has this option. Even though all Maya / VRay versions are exactly the same (Maya 2022 / V-Ray 5 for Maya, update 1.1 (v5.10.21 from Jul 15 2021) ).

I just found out that the machines where USD are not working properly have Maya 2021.1, the one where everything is working has Maya 2022 without and update.

I exported USD from the Maya 2022 machine and it does not render in Maya 2022.1.

Any chance for the fix so we wouldn’t have to rollback Maya update just to get it working?

Hello,

Currently we do not support MayaUSD 0.10.0 and above, which comes with update 2022.1.
You can always keep the updated Maya and go back to MayaUSD 0.8.0, which we support.
To do that you will have to uninstall MayaUSD 0.10.0 (you can do that from “Apps & features” on your computer) and then re-install MayaUSD 0.8.0.

Please try this option and if it’s still not working, give us a message and we will have even further look into the problem.

Switching to Maya USD 0.8.0 worked out, thanks !
