I have just recently gotten a new machine and it has the amd64 with Hypertransport Technology.
Is this something that just works, or is there some sort of setting that needs to be done to activate it?

Hypertransport Technology has been in all AMD since 2001.

Im pretty sure its always on, and thats how a lower GHZ AMD can compete with a higher GHZ P4.
Unfortunately its nothing like hyperthreading.
no i mean like is there a setting or on switch that you do in vray to activate it with the software. or is it like not software dependent but hardware dependent?

Sorry, i wasnt clear enough.
I was getting at that its a hardware thing. And there is nothing to turn on or off. Its just part of the way AMD cpu’s work.
I believe without HP they would be a hell of a lot slower.
