Using the Scanned material in VRay can cause the viewport to freeze

The Scanned Material feature is currently unavailable. Is it just me experiencing this issue?:face_with_spiral_eyes:

The version on May 1st will have this issue, while the version on April 27th will have no problem

Interesting… There should be no real Cinema4D related differences between the two builds. The build from May 1st exists only because of a version change in the V-Ray Maya 7.20.04 release.

Is it possible that you have an anti-virus that is blocking some of our dll files? We’ve seen some problems with that stable build.

I installed and tested both versions on the same C4D version, and only the one on April 27th was fine. It shouldn’t be due to antivirus software, because if there were any issues, both versions should have problems

When I tested some of our dll files in virus total the files from the May 1st build were being flagged by more anti malware programs, that’s why I asked. Including Microsoft’s.

It’s a bit magical. I just reinstalled the version from May 1st and it’s fine again :grinning_face:
