V-ray 1.5 & IES files

V-Ray V-Ray for 3ds Max Issues

Has anyone tried rendering out ies light with V-ray 1.5. We have had very unsuccessful results. We have a scene that has (6) photometric lights and have come to realize the the LC calulation takes very long to calculate.

Once we took the IES files out of our model the LC calculation took just a couple of minutes.

I believe this has not changed at all since the previous version 1.47.03; photometric lights are somewhat slow, so to speed your rendering you can switch them to simple spot distribution, calculate the light cache, save it, and revert to the web distribution for the final rendering.
