Vlado, it’s been over 2 months since your “coming soon” announcment. Can you state when a proper demo will be out? I’d also like to test the VRay RT together with 1.5SP3a.

What will the limitations be? And will it be compatible with the “regular” version of V-Ray? Say that I create something at home with the demo version, would I be able to open it up and continue working / rendering it at work?

your scene file is not changed. but vray resets all of its settings when you save.

Why do you come to vlado’s defence, da_elf? The demo is several months due. :sunglasses: What about all the users who want to try it…

Because existing customers are also a priority… Vray and Vray RT customers…

It take time to rebuild the demo, rebuilded demo is necessary to avoid piracy.

Daelf, stating that vlado will likely work on it after siggraph, is hardly coming to anybodies defence.

It’s a bit rich that it was being worked on in March and it’s now August and theres no sign of it… however I don’t see why an SP3 demo is necessary, you can get a clear idea of what VRay does from the SP2 demo.

SP2 demo doesn’t work with max 2010, that’s why it’s necessary.
