I am attempting to install VRay7 for Revit 2026 on my machine. I am running Windows 11 on Parallels for macOS 15.2 on an M4 Max machine with 128gb of shared RAM. I currently have VRay 6 installed on the windows VM for Revit 2023, which functions without issue. When I try to open the installer, it opens a terminal window for a second and then crashes. I have re-downloaded the installer several times and tried to run it as an administrator with all revit applications closed while getting the same issue. What should I do to make the install work properly?
This problem was solved by using the Canary Channel of the Windows Insider Program, which fixes the AVX2 compatibility issue with Parallels. To fix-- go to the windows insider program menu of the windows update menu in settings, enroll in windows insider, select the canary channel, allow the update to complete, and then install VRay 7 as normal.

I believe I reinstalled Revit after going onto the Canary Stream of Windows Insider-- also make sure that the downloaded files for install are located within the Windows Downloads folder (it is a manila folder icon-- you can get to it under users in the c: folder) and not the macOS downloads folder (it is blue). Sorry you’re going through this it is a major pain
