An associate of mine wanted to do the switch too. Unfortunately
the dealer in Japan (Oak Corp) refused to honor his order. Reasoning
that he (my friend) bought his Fr from another dealer and there’s no
way for them to check if his Fr license indeed exist (He’s got an Fr license am sure).
Is this a dealerwide procedure? How are you checking the legitemacy
of the Fr license, BTW?
The mere mention of your name, suddenly brought them down to
their knees Joking aside, my friend finally got what he wanted -
and signed up for the cross-upgrade. Apparently, it was just a
misinformed sales staff member who took his call a few days ago..
1. is it still possible to take advantage of this offer or am I too late?
2. Any date yet as to when Vray 1.1 will be available?
Basically I need the ability to render more than 3-4 million polys and until then Vray is nearly useless to me. It’s a real shame as it seems to blow fR out of the water for what I use it for!
