V-Ray Next backwards compatible to 3.6?

I’ve upgraded to V-Ray Next but a client of mine is saying that my files won’t be compatible as they are on 3.6. Is that true? What issues might there possibly be?

Besides using shaders which do not exist in 3.6 (say, the new hair material), and bearing in mind some lighting option is missing from 3.6 (f.e. the adaptive dome), nothing radical ought to be different.
You won’t get pink where you had green, so to speak.

Thanks! How about the camera since that seems like there’s a lot of extras?

Same as the rest, i’d guess: it will work, minus the stuff Next has and 3.6 hasn’t.
Use a Max camera, and you’ll be (not! ^^) fine with both releases…
