Hello all !
I’m trying to apply a Density Map to a V-Ray Scatter in SketchUp.
At first, I couldn’t get it to work properly — the Density Map seemed to have little or no visible effect.
Then I noticed that if I right-click the texture in SketchUp, go to Texture > Position, and manually scale the texture so that it fits the entire Scatter host surface exactly, the Density Map suddenly works perfectly and the transitions appear in the correct places.
My issue is: how can I achieve this without having to scale the texture to the huge real-world size of the entire surface?
If I scale the texture to match the whole site, it no longer corresponds to a realistic texture size.
Is there a way to use independent UV mapping for the Scatter Density Map and the actual ground material, so the Density Map covers the whole host once while the ground texture keeps its correct real-world scale?
Thanks a lot for your help !
