Vantage and Render Farm

Hello, I’m a new Vantage user.
Is it possible to use multiple render nodes in shared rendering via Render Manager for example, with Vantage? If so, is it necessary to have the same RTX graphics cards on each node?

Thanks
Yanosh

Vantage doesn’t do distributed rendering. It works with one or two GPUs installed on the same machine (memory is NOT combined when using two).

I am not sure about Render Manager. Regular Vantage builds don’t support command line rendering (which I assume is what the manager needs). This is only available in special builds for integrators.

Thank you Nikola, I will take note of it.

Hello,

However, in Vantage doc, there is " Chaos Vantage Command Line Options" chapter. I created a simple .bat file with a simple command line. It open Vantage but no rendering occurs. Could you explain how it works please?

Regards.

Hello, this is not an optional feature for us. In production environment, updating multiple videos sequences is much more easier by restarting a job on the renderfarm than rendering localy with our own GPU. Could a chaos dev enlight us how to use properly the vantage command line?

Regards

Hello, in the last Vantage change log, what about this ?: What's New

Command line

  • Support for starting rendering images and animations from the command line.

tried again to start a render with command line, but without success!

Hi f2b,

How are you starting your rendering from command? Can you send us the script that you are using to test on our end?

Best regards,
Alexander
