Vantage just closes as it loads vrscene

Hello,
I am trying to open a .vrscene but no luck. The scene itself is heavy, 8GB uncompressed on my HDD. 3ds Max stats show 133 mil polygons, plenty of forest pack objects inside.
Things I tried:
1st export was compressed vrscene, all settings to default. Didn’t work
2nd: uncompressed vrscene, all other settings default. Didn’t work
3rd: uninstall vantage 2, restart pc, install vantage 2, open scene. Didn’t work
Every time it happens as vantage loads the instances, at about 50%. I attach the debug log in case it helps.
System setup: i9-9900K - 64GB Ram - RTX 3090 - max 2024 - Vray 6

Hi iouzounis,

From the first post, where you send the log, I cannot see anything peculiar apart from it just suddenly stops. From the second post, where all objects are grey, I can only guess that it could be exported with an override grey material? Can you please send the scene for us to investigate? You can use the chaos help center and when the support team receives it we will write back our findings.

Best regards,
Alexander

Alexander, you are the man! I was getting ready to bang my head on the wall over such a tiny but crucial detail  Indeed I forgot the override material…
I will investigate the forest objects one by one and will keep you posted on what I find.

OK, I tried all forest objects one by one. All worked as expected. Exported all geometry in one file and all forest objects in another. Opened one file in vantage and imported the other. They are working nicely. I don’t know what was happening before but with this way it works.
