hey guys,
as the headline already says…i have a nurbs object that does not produce velocity information…is there a workaround besides converting everything to polys, casue thats no option at the moment…
cheers

Nurbs are not supported with VRay and motion blur…
Det haben wir aber schon bei Infiniti rausgefunden Oli ![]()
Actually motion blur does work with NURBS surfaces, both transformation and deformation (only for animated control vertices positions, not for animated trim curves). I must’ve forgotten to implement the velocity output though. Shouldn’t be too hard to add, as the NURBS surfaces are already triangulated with moving triangles when a velocity element is present and getting the velocity from these triangles should be easy enough.

Hi Guys,
Is there any update on this ? I was facing the same problem in Vray 3.6, the eyes in asset from our client is using NURBS, and it didn’t calculate Velocity pass.
Thanks
Just tested and it seems it’s not working yet. I’ll bump up the request in our system and discuss it with the devs.
Thank you Yolov ![]()
Please let me know if there is any news about this.
