Version 2.5 - Startup Bug (Revit)?

Hello!

We are experience some strange issues with version 2.5 and I am hoping somebody else has come up with a workaround.

  • Enscape Version - 2.5.050-gd44f62a
  • Build number - 2.5.19093.934
  • Autodesk Revit 2019.1

Generating an Enscape view using version 2.5, within an existing Revit 2019 project, generates a view that is unusable.

The live view never fully renders and generates a spinning wheel while trying to navigate.

(Downgrading and using version 2.4 works flawlessly)

We have had some success unloading all links and then generating an Enscape view within version 2.5.

This will periodically result in a usable view that can be navigated as fluidly as version 2.4.

Oddly, reloading the links, once the view is running, does not reduce the usability of active Enscape view.

However, after closing the view and then trying to regenerate the Enscape view, with everything set to the last usable state, results in an unusable view once again.

Hello @bhartley03

Please send us feedback with “include logs” checkbox checked so we could have a look at what is going on.

Even better would be to have the scene to reproduce the problem. You can share it securely with our support if you can.

This is happening to us as well. I even reinstalled the latest graphics drivers. I’ve also noticed that enscape is eating up memory - maxing my computer out (which never use to happen). Using the same file with version 2.4 resolves all issues.

This is very proably due to increased allowed texture size. Do you use big textures in the project? Until 2.4 textures were compressed to max. 2048x2048px. Now 8192x8192 is allowed.

Interesting information about the texture sizes.

We do have a few custom textures that we will purge out of a test file and see if we can get Enscape up and running again.

Thanks for the input!

Quick update

Version 2.5.2.34 has solved this issue

Thanks!
