Vertiz 950: HGR Arquitectos, Mexico!

Good Morning,

My name is Sachin Mahajan and I am from India. This is my new personal project Vertiz 950 By HGR Arquitectos to study new Corona Renderer. Ondra Karlík did a great job in developing this new engine.

Rather then converting old scene in Corona I decided to do a completely new project to study Corona. Initial model was done in Sketchup then imported in to max.

I really like Corona. Its very simple to use and very powerful. All the following images were done at default settings. Path Tracing + HD Cache. I made no changes to engine default’s as I saw on forum Ondra Karlík mentioning in most cases default settings would work fine, which is really amazing. Now one can actually invest more time in making scene better then playing with settings. Progressive render rocks. Its a real time saver. Corona scatter is nice too. AO is very useful. All though I am yet to understand some of the features.

I would like to thank Martin Geupel (http://www.racoon-artworks.de) for Advanced Corona Material Converter. I think this script was the only reason I took interest in Corona. Let me explain why. Vray is in business from a long time now. Most of the Model collections made by companies are in Vray or Mental Ray format. Most of the guys own such collections and it would be very time consuming to re-do each material from scratch. Specially when your scene have many pre made models and materials. Advanced Corona Material Converter saves you lot of time and you can always adjust your materials after converting them. So its all good. I hope Martin Geupel will continue his developement on this useful script.

Some project info is as follows:

Architects: HGR Arquitectos
Location: Doctor José María Vertiz, Mexico City, Federal District, Mexico
Architect In Charge: Marcos Hagerman
Area: 3,426 sqm
Year: 2013
Softwares: Sketchup, 3Ds Max, Corona Renderer.

I hope you will enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed creating them . I am excited to read what you think about it. Please do leave your valuable comments

Your renderings are great, but that architecture looks so claustrophobic… there’s no way i could live in such place.

Thank you and welcome to congested city life where Architects need to be innovative in small spaces like these.

By the way this is the first time I used Corona..

Lovely images you did there, especially for your first time with Corona.

You’re welcome! Glad you find it useful
I will, of course, keep updating the script when there is new stuff to be added.

these are beyond amazing images…i think the architecture is decent too even without the design constraints… welldone, i see no real flaws here… how did u achieve the wet concrete tiled floor though?

Mind blown… First time with Corona and such extremely eye-pleasing result!

Nicely done, looks great!

Tasty realistic renders bravo ! Can you tell us about rendertime ?

WHOA!.. my favourite was that up shot, kind of The Third & The Seventh camera angle.

Very nice indeed!

Thank you.. Floor have mix map for Defuse, Reflections, R-Glossiness and Bump.. Mix amount is defined by black and white map..

Really good renders, and how they contact you? if they are here in Mexico, and why they doesnt contact me?,im an architect and i made rendering as well really near from this place about 20 min, i think my render are not too good for them or they dont know that im exist lol, congratulations for your work i liked alot the looking of materials. Cheers form the near place of the project.

Is it the Dollmaker we knew in the CGWorkshop forum ?
Sure this is the best way to turn into a new renderer, and this is a great way to compare VRay and Corona.
What is your opinion about Corona ?
