Im using VRay 6.00.05 in C4D 2023.1.3 but when using the VFB, and history and layers tabs appear as default. Each time I have to close them both, as they always appear as default. I have not changed any settings.
It would be great (for me, at least) if it remembered the previous state on closing, so I don’t have to continuously close these tabs.

Does this happen every time you close and open the VFB or when you restart Cinema4D? The VFB should remember the state of the Layers and History panels. If that is not the case with you, could you please try to reinstall V-Ray and see if that will help? Thank you.
Hi Aleksandar - each time I start the VFB within a session.
I just re-installed VRay (the uninstaller removed the previous version). Now the layers palette does remain closed once I close it but the history tab just reappears next time I start the VFB every time I close and re-open the VFB.
Any way to get rid of the history?

Can you please try to rename your preferences directory temporarily, to see if there is a problem with your preferences? You can find your preferences folder by clicking on the Preferences Folder button in the Preferences window. Let me know if that helps.
Also, please let us know how you close the History panel. Are you closing it by double-clicking on the dots or by dragging them to the left? Please note that there is a known issue (bug ID: VC4D-1471) where the History panel state is not remembered when the VFB is closed if it is closed by dragging. Try double-clicking on the dots (as shown here) or go to View> Show History (as shown here) to permanently hide it. I hope this is of help.
