Hi,
I have a problem saving EXR images from the VFB when I used region render. Since vray version 36003 it only saves the region instead of the whole image when I use the EXR format. It still works fine with other formats. Same problem with 36004.
It was still working with 36002.
Any idea what’s wrong?
Is your “auto data window” option enabled in the image format options of the common tab?
It doesn’t make any difference if it’s enabled or disabled.
Yes I just tested this as well. We’ll have to fix it.

It’s not fixed yet, but it should be for V-Ray Next.

Fix is not found in Release Notes of Next Beta 1 / Beta 2.
This should be fixed in Beta 3. I can’t find it in the changelog either, it somehow slipped through and didn’t make it in the log, but it’s fixed and tested.
I can’t tell right at the moment if it’s in beta 2 as well (need to check tomorrow) - but I just double-checked the beta 3 builds and it’s working there.
We just released beta 3 today, so you should already be able to download the builds from our website.

Probably because the Data window option was added (Region, Auto, whole), I guess that it was fixed at the same time.
The data window option determines what will be saved with the render. But we’ve also made another change where saving from the VFB directly will always save the whole image.

This didn’t make it into 3.60.05, but it will be included in the next update to V-Ray Next. What V-Ray version are you running?
