with the last version of vray, I want to set the PNG and TIF format in 16 bits. I save the settings but in a new scene the settings are gone and return to default when I want to change them the vrayserver crash.

Hey @eric_kubiak , which type of licensing are you using? Keep in mind that the Community Edition license is limited only to 8-bit file formats, which means you can not use 16-bit PNG or TIFF with the free Community Edition license.

However, a “vrayserver crash” is not expected in either way, so we will be looking into this.

I’ve got the full version of vray and have access to the dropdown to choose the version 8 or 16bits

Upon testing on my end, I was unable to reproduce the issues mentioned above. Would you mind sharing some more information about your setup, such as OS, Blender version and V-Ray version. Also, please try uninstalling and then reinstalling V-Ray to see if that will help.

The configuration: Mac mini m4pro - osx Tahoe 26.5.2 - blender 5.2 - vray 7.40.00.

Thanks for sharing those details. We managed to reproduce the crash, and we will be looking into what might be causing it. We will let you know once we have more information on the matter.
