I’m buying a new comp what would you reccomand for a video card at aeound 500$
using only max on that computer.
should i go with gforce or somthing more pro…

Definitely a Geforce. If its a new motherboard with PCI Express - go with a Geforce 7800 OC (BFG if you can get one there.) It’s outperforming my softmodded 6800 BFG OC which I had changed into a Quadro 4000 series.

I agree, get a GeForce 7800 OC. I just bought one and it blows away my stock Quadro 1100 that I paid $600.00 for a couple years ago. I paid $429.00 for the BFG 7800 OC.
