LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL…

Natty… let me ask you this… what are you expecting in 1.1?

why do you ask … are expecting nothing ?
give the Chaos guys credit, im expecting more than you by the sounds of it.

i’m expecting only one thing. network floating license.

I’m not so sure if this is 100% accurate, but the ability to render huge scenes without crashing is what I am waiting for the most. Also a more stable Vray is on my wishlist.

JG

I, for one would expect a proper manual/ tutorial. This forum is great but half of my posts here could be avoided if I have something in hand which describes current vray release. The teaser Vlado posted while ago was great. This would be my major request.

more sound!

Animated Icons…

-Tom

- a few more materials (glass, metal etc) for lazy people like me
- calculating the irradiance map with more than one machine
- control of the colour bounces
- working vfb with max 5
- self ilumination and opacity slot in the vray material
- instant break when you cancel the rendering
- no problems with multi million poly scenes
- a hightlight in the vray material
- an architectural cam like in fR
- a great handbook and tutorials

- wake me up and say it´s not just a dream

What do you mean by architectural camara? To make ortogonal views? Yes this would be great too!

Gonçalo

that disscussion about 1.1 is boring… just let them do their work.

the master has spoken.

i find it interesting so let us move on.

if you find it boring Dschaga i think you are in the wrong forum …

Well bascially my point is that if you have been a Vray user since December 2001 like me, you would know that when they promised 1.1 (around march of 2002) back then they had a list of things that they wanted to add to Vray. From what I can see, they already added all of those, plus a LOT more they had not even planned on adding. SO, I think that the current Vray has already surpassed what I was wanting in 1.1. I personally gave up on asking for 1.1, because the version names don’t mean a thing to me anymore. The manual is very important… and that is all that I think should be expected.

I think they have more important things to work on beyond 1.1… version 2… and take as long as you need to get it working right.
