Vray 1.5 R3 Always Crashes with VIZ 2007 (At least here...)

Hi,

I finally downloaded and installed R3, and used the same authorization file that was emailed a few months back (in lieu of the dongle that we’re waiting for,) but every time I open VIZ, then go straight to Render, Assign Render, then choose Vray 1.5, the program crashes. I have no presaved scenes open, so there is nothing in the opened file. Should I have requested a newer authorization file that works with this version? I download Vray 1.5 R3 for Max 8.0, which I thought was synonymous with VIZ 2007, but again, I’m not sure.

Please help; I can always go back to R2, but I’d prefer to work with the newest build with the best features (not that I know how to use most of them yet, but that’s a whole other problem…)

You should run the installation again and choose the “software license” option. Do not copy any files anywhere.

I just assumed that I needed the authorization file…anyways, thanks; that worked without any issues.
