vray 3.4 max 2015 vs 3.6 max 2018 denoiser

Hi quick question- is denoise with vray 3.4 max 2015 working?

same scene - one test is vray 3.4 max 2015 - denoiser seems to do nothing no matter what the settings- same scene in vray 3.6 max 2018- denoiser works great and the scene appears to be rendering faster (- but thats not proven yet :slight_smile:

so my question really is 3.4 & max 2015 anyone know if this is a bad combination with denoise?
at moment other factors are pushing us to use this combination but i think i want to try to move from it as its causing me problems-like this

any one experienced this- thanks for any help

Had the same problem where denoiser did not even start…also on 2015.
Guys at Chaos suggested to increase the post effect rate (under settings tab). Default is 10. In my case that didn’t help, so they also found out that there is a bug where denoiser won’t start if the camera has long exposure settings. They suggested to use 4-6 f number and shutter speed 40-80. That helped in my case.

thanks for the tip Crayox13- fortunately - playing with the camera settings does seem to change things
