That would be very odd; I’ve done it many times without issues (the VRayColor texture is really very simple). Do you get 3ds Max itself to crash? If yes, can you get me a crash dump file to vlado@chaosgroup.com ?

I think its a local workstation problem: finally after much bug hunting. I moved max licences to a different station and it was fine. I think I have to re-install max on that workstation because a lot of things have stopped working properly on it (I was using it as a render slave before). Also when installing the Vray 2.02 update it told me that not everything was removed. I will re install and see if error still occurs.
On other workstations my code works fine and doesn’t crash nothing (except the cPU when I’m using xtreme overclock ![]()
