I recently downloaded and installed the V-Ray Demo 1.50.17. I thought it was great until I realized all your settings vanish whenver you save your file. Then someone told me that you can save your settings as a preset before you save and load them in again after.
I can save the presets just fine. I go to the preset dialog, write in a name and select what settings I want to save and press save. A file “vray.cfg” gets made and it contains my saved settings so everything is working there.
But when I press load nothing at all happens. No feedback whatsoever.
I’m not trying to avoid buying Vray, but it would just be nicer to be able to test it on a more complex scene and not just quick test scenes I don’t care whether I save or not.
According to someone I asked they can save and load presets just fine with the demo. Do they have an older version of the demo and this has been disabled in a newer version or is it something on my side that’s broken?
I hit load and let it sit there for 30 minutes and still nothing. How can it even take more than 0,1 sec? It’s just loading in a small .cfg-file.
But if you say it take that long then I won’t bother with it. I’ll just try and avoid saving too often, kind of goes against everything I’ve been thought, but ohh well.
