VRay Dirt multiplier

Hi,

is there a way how to make more intense the dirt texture?

What I mean, I used it in ambient light for AO. But the dark corners is not dark enough. I can make AO much darker with AO in indirect illumination rollout, because there is an intensity multiplier. I wanna achieve this with ambient light, but its still too bright. Is there any way?

yep i often find i have to fiddle quite a lot to get a strong effect like i want with the dirt map.. an overall multiplier of some kind would be very useful!

Yes, I think this too. Even in material creation (not only in ambient light), when I wanna some dirt on object, its too bright most of the time and settings doesnt help me a lot. :frowning:

+2 for intenzity multiplier in dirt map

You can always pipe it through an Output map and adjust the curve of the effect there.

Best regards,
Vlado

good plan.. i shall remeber that one

I will try that. Dont know if I can burn the black, not just the white, but I will see.

Yeah, works like a charm, how I can miss that. Thanks Vlado.

can u explain this a bit more pipe the vray dirt through an output map? or if anyone has a screen shot?

Click on your map type [the dirt map] it will give you a dialog to choose a different map type.-
Choose output & make sure you choose keep map as a sub-mat & it will place the dirt map inside the output map.
