Vray :: exterior lighting/texturing issues

Guys 'n Gals ,
Got some major issues here, hopefullly someone will be kind enough to help me out.

I recently installed VRAY and been trying to get it to work for an outdoor scene. The scene itself is not much , cuz I’m really just starting out in MAX.

Look at attached scene and espescially at the marked ‘power box’ (such a thing that hangs against the wall where the power comes in)

The power box textures make it look like it doesnt belong in the scene … it doesnt blend in with the wall it is attached to … ( am I making myself clear at all ? ;o)

Scene specs :

LIGHTING
- sunsystem = 1 target direct, light yellow, m = 1, casting VRAY shadows
- shadowcaster = 1 target spot , light yellow, m = 1, casting shadows through a shadow map and light is on (for extra sunny day effect  )
- VRAY environment parameters = light blue , m = 1,35

POWER BOX TEXTURE
- jpg texture in the diffuse slot (thats it)

RENDERING
- scene is rendered out in vray (do I need to give the rendersettings ? )

here is the image

I had some paint left so I threw it on :stuck_out_tongue:

please help me out … :'/

are those texture’s baked on ?

no, it’s just a jpg as a texture in the diffuse slot and a quick bumpmap

What I got on my desktop, and what I’m using as inspiration is thisone .. thats really the feeling I want to create … (in my dreams :stuck_out_tongue: )
