Hi, i’m an user of maya & mental ray, and i’ve heard the great new about vray for maya.
I’d like to know if any beta version exists… and if there is a date for the final version…

There´s not even a date for the Max Final wich is in public beta since ages, so i doubt there is one for the maya vray

what do you mean by “max final”? a good product never had a final version. its always improved apun. do you mean final in the sence of a version you can own and use in production? if so then your approximately 2 or 3 years late. vray 1.0 came out loooong ago. and we have been going in the direction of 1.5 for quite some time. There has been alot of people arguing about how long its taking to get there. but honestly. if someone can dig up a list of what was originally supposed to be in 1.5 and what actually will be in 1.5 you will see that the list we were supposed to get originally has come and gone a loooong time ago. the public beta of vray is just for those who wish to buy it and wish to test it out to see how it works. the public free is a feature crippled version for people to use for free and have fun with. then there is vray basic and vray advanced which are the versions you can buy if you enjoy vray
By “Max-Final” i was referring to 1.5 wich is meant to be classified as non-beta afaik? Am aware of the fact that no software is ever really final (windows alone tells you that lesson every single day, no ? 
)
