maybe you can achieve some glossiness by adding a very small scaled noise map to either refraction or bumpiness.
works well for reflection but not sure about refraction though.
a small pool of melt water would do the trick
ice does not melt like that if you leave it in open air. try a softer noise and try adding melt modifier. and also… avoid bubbles inside your ice. bubbles tend to raise and disappear before the water gets hard… otherwise it will look like a plastic paperweight. a long streak of crystals inside would do.
there is a glossy option in the vray map, try low subdivs that become noisy, maybe you’ll have some luck.
Anyway I like the look already.
