Is it really that hard to parse physical materials and render them?
Will Vray GPU support the new Open PBR material?

Can you elaborate, please?
You can easily convert Physical Materials to VRayMtl via the V-Ray converter. OpenPBR material should already be working.
I don’t want to convert the materials, I just want Vray GPU to do it itself.
Will ask if there are plans for this.
Like didn’t Chaos actually develop the Physical Material for Autodesk anyway?
Now, I’ll tell you my current predicament - I was loading materials from Substance using the auto PBR option, but I needed them as physical materials so I could send them to Unreal. I wanted to use Vray as a benchmark for a slightly different variation of the same project.
But the point it is most annoying, is when using scenes where I’ve taken assets from various sources (which happens a lot in Arc viz) - and then you just end up rendering some random object as bright magenta.
I would even prefer in the meantime if Vray GPU rendered them all all mid grey!
But yeah, please make it work, since it really has been the default material for like, what, a decade now?
