When I boot the machine, the vray licence server needs to be started seperately - how do I get it to load when booting ?
You could put a copy of the shortcut into your windows startup folder?
I’ve tried that but it doesn’t work. Also, another machine with an old copy of max and vray, opens the VR server without a copy of the shortcut in the startup folder
It has to work when in the startup folder, needs to be in the startup for any different logins too if you use a separate one to farm. The only thing that could stop it is if it is installed as a service and running already. On the other box it sounds like it may be installed as a service.
You also could use windows scheduled task manager to launch it whenever the machine turns on. This way it is launched even if someone doesn’t login.
Ok, this is just ridiculous. The VRL Licence server is not being found at anytime.
Is it better to have Max 9 64bit loaded into the ‘Program Files (x86)’ folder ? For some reason it default loaded into the 32 bit Program files.
Sorted it but had to uninstall Max 9 and reinstall everything again.
