# Vray MultiSubTex issue

Dear all,  
it seems that the VrayMultiSubTex is not working in Vantage, is it?  
I set up a simple scene and it works in 3ds max using Vray GPU 5.2.1.  
In Vantage, using both Live-Link or exporting the scene as static vrscene, it doesn’t work.

I’ve read that this feature is supported, I’m I wrong?

Hi Pixelpark,

V-Ray for 3ds Max has changed the way it exports VrayMultiSubTex in update 2 and we have not implemented it yet. With the latest V-Ray for 3ds Max only Object ID and Face ID work correctly while Random and all its subsequent options doesn’t. If you try with V-Ray update 1.3 it will work as expected. I will log it in and try to implement support for it as soon as possible.

We’ve released Vantage version 1.6.0 which has a fix for this.  
Note that when you have more than one randomization option selected results won’t match V-Ray.  
This is for performance reasons.
