Vray PLE Far behind the latest builds....

So I discovered that there was a PLE version for Maya about a month ago, so no need to pay for a educational license.. yay! But the only problem is, features that I had in the latest update on Vray in Maya are now gone. Turns out the latest update for the PLE was 1.2 (2021). I cant even have features like the Vray decal for example since that’s in update 2.

Is there any good reason why the PLE is so far behind the latest versions?

Hi Nathan,

Yes, PLE is quite behind at the moment. We generally wait for a couple of hotfixes to release PLE.
Also, keep in mind that unlike EDU, PLE has no support and scenes from PLE can’t be rendered in ADV.

In any case, update 2 PLE is coming soon, so keep tuned, there will be some very cool things in it.
