Hi guys,

Up and running with the latest stable VRay 2.10 build in Maya 2012, everything is great with the new versions so far other than my DR slaves hanging upon render completion/cancellation.

The frame will complete and then each machine just sits around for around 2 minutes until it finally returns the message “DR Session from 1.192.168.32 closed”. Normally in the past, I would see this message returned within an instant after the render.

If I try to launch a new distributed render, it won’t pick up until they close the session, which means I’m limited to rendering a frame once every 2 minutes.

Anyone else experienced this?

Which OS is this? Does it happen on any scene, or just a particular one?

This is in Win 7. I tried with a number of scenes, always seeing roughly a 1.5 to 2 minute delay between render completion/cancellation and the DR session closing.

This was magically resolved. Have a good feeling it’s to do with restarting the machines at some point since this build was installed.

Hm, ok. We could not really reproduce this here either.
