VRay Scene

Hey Vlado and team!
So I love vrayscene but as a note, it caused a few hours of finding out what was wrong and why I could not render. I was given a scene with a vrayscene object in it. I was not aware that the vrayscene object was in it and thus never paid attention to it. My scene would not render, gave me the unhandled exception error, instancing etc etc. I went through the thousand of objects in my scene and hid them and render them until I finally found a vrayscene object that did not find the path of the original vrayscene, hence causing problems. I deleted it and the scene rendered. I know this one is being tested, so I suggest making it “invisible” if no link is found. By the way, VRay RT chunked through it and was able to render it in ActiveShade mode, but I could not render it in Advance mode nor iterative. Hope that helps.

Best
Alex

Hello,

Could you share that scene - we should check why there were errors and fix them for Advance mode too.

Best regards,
Yavor

Thanks Yavor,
Due to the nature of the project I can’t send this one, but I’ll try to send you something next time I run into it.

I thought I may include another idea for VRayscene. Perhaps we can have a vrayscene for selected objects. For example, my current scene has two vrayscenes in it and I want to export everything but the vrayscenes I have in my 3DS Max scene. So I have to delete both VRayscenes, export and bring back the just deleted two vrayscenes.
Thanks for considering!
