yes, I really want to know how to change the presets path.
I’m digging around right now to try and figure out how to edit the path.
If I save a preset I want my coworkers to be able to access it.
Currently, I have to find the file, copy it to another’s machine and have them rename their old one so they don’t completely loose their settings. then they have to restart max.
Hmmmmm, That’s efficient.
Let me know if you know how to just change the path to a shared drive.
loading max presets kills your entries in reaction manager
But be careful with loading max render presets. It kills all your entries in reaction manager. So better beware of using it if you animate with reaction manager.

vray preset manager
you can save the presets as .ini files, and you can exclude certain parts of vray from being saved (license tab or other stuff like bucket size)
dont know if it works with max 7/8 or the current vray builds tho’
