I recently installed the latest version of Vray and a cant seem to find the “ad vray tag” menu.
They are all under extensions. This is not ideal, hope it will improve in the future.
First i thought my upgrade corrupted the v-ray 6 install… this extension thing was a bad idea from maxon.
One solution could be to just tear off (luckily this is easy to do) the v-ray tags menu and add it somewhere on the ui.
The other way could be to make a v-ray menu in the object manager.
This is under window/customize/menu manager…/. There you should select the object manager menu (M_OBJECT_MANAGER) and add a custom menu ( like v-ray tags).
After that i would open up the command manager and just drag the desired tags to the new menu. Don’t forget to apply and save 
TBH i will go with the first version as i like to keep most of the commands i use as a button
This is quite uncomfortable to use indeed. We’re looking for a solution and hopefully Maxon left an alternative way for adding the V-Ray tags menu back. Otherwise we might consider one of the options suggested here.

Please note that with the latest stable build, the V-Ray sub-menu can be found directly in the Tags drop-down menu in the Object Manager (please check this GIF). Unfortunately, this doesn’t apply when accessing the menu by right-clicking on an object. In this forum post, Deyan has explained what are the current limitations for this to work with the right click as well. You can find the latest stable build here.
