We’ve updated Vray to 3.2 here at the Studio and are trying to render a job with VrayClipper and AmbientLight. The Clipper plane has some objects in the include list. The whole scene is lit by a VrayAmbientLight with a VrayDirt as light map.
As you can see in the attached image, the clipped objects still cast full shadow. It also doesn’t matter if “work with transparency” is on or off or if I use GI instead of an AmbientLight. This really limits the use cases of the Clipper plane and we currently seem to have no other option than switching to Cebas’ ScalpelMax plugin.

Hello,

Unfortunately this is a known bug we have for the combination between clippers and vraydirt - dirt still considers clipped geometry.

Best regards,
Yavor
