Hi all,
i’ve found a bug, as written in the subject, when using VrayHairMtl inside a VrayBlend. I have two completely different shaders (one has very glossy refl, the other very sharp) that i want to put on the same fur system (i’m using hairfarm this time) with a full 100% black and white map but no matter what they keep blending. You can see it directly even in the material editor sphere preview.
I’m attaching a file, Vray 3.10.03 on 3dsMax2015.
I know you guys are always super busy, but if this could be fixed right away it would be great.

Hi Tashko and thanks for acknowledging this, unfortunately the problem is there as before, just less visible due to the different value of the glossy parameter that when very broad become less visible, but that was just an example, i have completely different shaders in my scene.
I hope this can get a quick fix, at the moment i’m using tons of masks on top of masks within a single shader and it’s quite a mess.
Thanks again.
I’m looking into this now.
Best regards,
Vlado
That’s probably too late for your specific case, but this is fixed for the next nightly builds tomorrow and for the next SP - at least for the case when the hair material is assigned to hair primitives. The hair material will not work properly when assigned to regular sufaces.
Best regards,
Vlado
Very nice.
Thanks as always V.
Cheers.
