vrayIES direction

Is there a way of telling how IES web distribution is oriented? If i put a normal photometric pointlight, and align the source and the target with vrayIES, will it point in the same direction? I am trying to do some tests but it seems to be acting different every time.

Will there be a preview (the IES mesh) included in some future release?

There will be a preview, yes. The result should match a standard photometric light, so long as you don’t rotate the light shape inside the light.

That would be great, not being able to see which way the light is oriented makes setting them up difficult.
