VrayProxy Viewpower playback not working. (Max 2019)

I recently noticed that I can’t get VrayPoxies to update per frame using Vray Next and Max 2019.

When I have “Expand # to frame number” enabled and I scrub through my timeline vrayproxy doesn’t show me the alembic file for that particular frame I am on.
What I need to do in order to get it to update is:
1. Switch to point display
2. Switch back to show whole mesh

Once I have done that it shows me the correct frame.
I tried multiple alembic sequences which I know have worked before but are not working now.
