VraySun+Vray physicalcam for exterior,what work?

is this this script you wanted to point out:PhysCam Auto-Exposer..is it this one:physcam_lightmeter_1.1c.rar ?

ill give it a try.

Thx;)

latter (lightmeter1.1c).
Sorry for untidyness.

In RL it would be overexposed if you had a big enough exposure time, man.
You could have a ZILLION isos, and a ZILLIONTH of a second of exposure time

re,
Lele

Oooh, than even i could take a steady picture!

maybe after a few beers eric

Anyone having issues with white dots in exteriors with VRAYSUN and SKY and physical cam in reflections? Im going crazy with it. If no one is having problems with it, i will post a separate threads showing the problems…

some stray HDRI loaded sample?
Clamping (and subpixel mapping, in case) should fix it, no?

Lele

panthon, would you mind posting up a little image of the issue?

As i dont want to hijack this thread, i will post in a separate one. I´ll see if i can create a simple scene for testing purposes.

Hell yeah dont hijack my post! lol just kidding, but no jokes did nt really get any answer i was looking for, thx for help anyway! If anyones can share the orientation you take with exterior scene for animation with 1.5, that would be appreciated.

I ll post some images when im done with this project.

What I start with, see if this helps.

I load a HDRI into the max environment slot, shove the multiplier up to about 15-20, match the sun position with a vray sphere light and then stick in a physical camera. Turn exposure on, and go nuts with random values till it loks good.
I never use the same global lighting setup because it forces me to redo them every time.

…Turn exposure on, and go nuts with random values till it loks good.

yeah i do the same because the value just make no sense, but it s try and error til it look good…but still it looks good!

For a shot where I’m outside, I normally use iso values around 100, F-stop around 8-11 and shutter speed 60 - 125 depending on how much motion blur I need.

thx for the answer, but i dont think i can use motion blur as it will raise up my render time…and shutter speed is not available with cinematic camera, i dont use the targeted one because its animated in the scene, so i only have sgutter angle left to play with and it does nt do the job, Only 2 option left to balance the image, Iso film and f-stops.

How come youre using the cinematic camera?
As far as i’m aware, all it does is change the values used (helpful if you already know them) and the motion blur/dof.

Although please correct me if i’m wrong.

Im using this camera because its animated and i dont use targeted camera for animation, easier to control since you only have the cam to animate, but after double check i just saw that the still camera can be use without the target and i can have shutter speed to play with so im gonna take a look with the still camera.
