I haven’t tried it in SP2 but in SP1 when removing items ctrl+click, although more than one item is highlighted, only selects the last item clicked for removal from the list. Be nice if shift+click and shift+ctrl+click worked also.
If this has already been corrected forgive me for being lazy and not trying it in SP2 before testing.
