Vrimg to exr taking along time

Hi I have a vrimg thats is 10000 x 13000 px,

My machine has been trying to convert this for around an hour now, do we know why?

How can i speed this up, i have 24gb ram, my machine is using 6% and 7% cpu. and hanging on that i have no idea how long it will take

Use the -bufSize command line option to give it more memory for the conversion.
