vrimg2exr RLE compression?

Is there a way to make vrimg2exr compress the EXRs with RLE compression?
I know the help manual states “Currently supported values for <method> are: none, zips, zip, piz, pxr24”, however after som testing I’ve found out that Adobe After Effects prefer RLE compression best, but i really like the workflow using vrimg-files.

Is there a workaround? Or perhaps this should be in the wish list section instead?
