I have to start it manually every time Windows starts, because WIBU loads up too slow on my machine.
Is there a solution for delaying the VRLService autostart so it begins AFTER the WIBU is fully up?
I’ve tried to solve it by myself but I do not understand much of this

Which version of V-Ray are you using? This was a problem in RC3, but is avoided in the 1.5 final version.

latest Vray version 1.5 and latest WIBU Driver on WinXPx64 . May be I didn’t install it properly. I’ll try to reinstal both VRLService and WIBU.

I didn’t succeed to run VRLService as a service, but shortcut of the VRLService placed in the Startup works fine now. Thanks for the help.
Kalografik - I had the same kind of problem, vrlservice wouldn’t start as a service either. I thought it was just me being stupid or something… :roll: … I manually start it from the shortcut too.

It’s seems to me, the problem is some kind of incompatibality with the WinXPx64. Or my system is totaly muddled. I haven’t reinstall the Windows lately.
Stop the registered “VRLService” service manualy and place a shortcut to the VRLService (the black icon) in the Startup. Restart.
I didn’t tryied to remove the VRLService service totally from the registry.
VRLService service works fine in WinXPx32 and the black icon then is invisible.

Oh dear, maybe I am stupid after all - running on XP 32 here…
try this
*upgrade to Vray1.5 with the latest WIBU Driver. (if needed)
*after the install start “register VRay License Service” from “Start…Programs..ChaosGroup…Licencing…”
*go to Control panel>Administrative tools> Services and check if VRLService is running. Start it manualy if not. Start MAX and check if Vray is OK.
*If it’s not OK try to disable manually the service and place a shortcut to VRLservice in the Windows Startup folder.
*restart to check if the VRLService starts without conflict with WIBU.
*if not OK again… you have bad day, try tommorow:)

finally I fixed the problem with the VRLService service.
The problem on my system was the NVidia hardware firewall.
Just open port:30304 for the “vrlservice.exe” at IPaddress: 127.0.0.1 (which is “localhost”)
