Hi Guys
I was playing a little bit with the new ward reflection to see what we can achieve and these is what I get. Now your brush metal and textile material can be more real than ever.

yes, it is one reflection Shader type. Click where said “Blinn” an you are going to find the “Ward” option.
Re: Ward (reflection type)
In this image you can see the difference between the old brushed metal (with Blinn) and the new Brush metal (with Ward). The reflection is a lot more realistic, but also take more render time.
Re: Ward (reflection type)
woowwww, youu guys are really working hard… that’s an amazing degree of realism mi estimado fernando…
i’m actually considering to get some online training… just let me save a little ![]()

Re: Ward (reflection type)
Fernando…this is terrific.
3 cheers to the team
Re: Ward (reflection type)
The ward reflection type was added in 1.48.66. It’s just been hiding there in the reflection layer, waiting for someone to play with it. I’m glad to see that Fernando has been able to put it to good use. This is the first chance I’ve had to see it in action, and it looks absolutely wonderful! Great job Fernando!
Re: Ward (reflection type)
woa.. thanks for sharing fernando… it’s really good to see this nu benefits!!
Re: Ward (reflection type)
We add two new features for anisotropy reflection. Now you can use a texture to control the anisotropy effect. Also you can use a texture to control their rotation.
This is the image that I use on the as a rotation texture.
Re: Ward (reflection type)
That’s in the latest beta, not in the public release. We’ll be releasing the update as soon as our testers give us a thumbs up. So keep an eye out over the next couple weeks for an update.
