weird banding and strange effects

I am having problems with a an interior view.

See pics and text associated for the problem.

Image 05x(2), image looks find rendered at 4k.

Image 5xx(2 same view now with sun at 30 percent intensity and I get this weird banding on the ceiling, right side.

Image 06(2)) same view is rendered at 8k and I get the ceiling half light left and other half dark right. Same settings except the 8k

Any ideas?

Only guessing. Could you share feedback including log files via the [Feedback] button?

You project file would be appreciated as well for analysis.
