Weird decimals separator problem

Hello,

I’m facing a weird problem since we switched to 3dsmax2018 (update 4), on Windows 7. I use . as decimal separator instead of , - it’s set in Windows regional settings, everything’s ok. I have two 3dsmax shortcuts with custom maxstart files: one to run it with VRay (3.60.04) , one to run it with Corona (1.7.2). With VRay, 3dsmax keeps on using , as decimal separator, whereas with Corona it works perfectly, using . as decimal separator … crazy.

Already reported to Autodesk, but no news so far, so I try here since I’m not sure at all what’s causing this.

Can you paste the shortcut command line so that we can try to reproduce this here? Which Windows version?

Hi Vlado,

What do you mean “shortcut command line” ? I use -i 3dsmax_corona.ini added to the 3dsmax shortcut on my desktop to run 3dsmax with a custom Corona maxstart. Is that what you were asking ? no particular trick to run 3dsmax with VRay, it’s our standard setup.
We use Windows 7 Professionnal SP1 (x64).
