Weird Light Splotches

I’ve been getting weird hotspots in my scenes at random places whenever I place enscape lighting. it only happens in some of the sketchup models and never happened before until maybe 2 months ago. There is only 1 light source per room, the light levels of all sources are around 70 CD but seem unaffected by lighting levels and artificial lighting levels are set in a reasonable range.

Please help.

Is there any chance you could share the project with me? Also, in the Image tab, please reduce the Lens Effect, by turning the slider to the left of course - if you’re using any emissive surfaces, please also make sure they aren’t overly bright, if you cannot find any, you can send in the project so I can have a closer look.
