Been having some issues and tried various adjustments, however cant remember what is defaults.
Can you tell me what is default for samples and noise in the UI for the maxscript render animation with vantage please…
The default UI value for noise threshold is 0.005 in the Max dialog and 0.01 in Vantage itself (yes, a bit inconsistent). The default sample count is 100. The settings are just a starting point as the result is scene dependent, YMMV, etc.
if I set samples to 0, would that mean it uses as much samples as needed to reach the noise threshold?
I think this has been overlooked. It shouldn’t allow 0 input. The app will default to 100 samples in this case. Vantage offline rendering always has a maximum number of samples.
