What is the best way to mix the road and ground material in V-ray?

im trying to draw asphalt road on the terrain using curve, MASH, and want to give some gradation between road and the ground terrain so it looks less artificial.
what could be the best solution for making this?

Have you got any screen shots to share?

After you create the road and UVs, apply a transparency mask to its edges, turn of geo Cast Shadows.

how can i apply a transparency mask to its edges?

You can use a gradient ramp

A ramp would give a very CG look, paint the mask by hand with uneven strokes either in photoshop or other painting apps, use projections or decals to add asphalt patches on the road , cracks etc.., here’s an example https://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/new-york-streets-891930

Plug a layered texture node into alpha slot and build it up from there you can instantly see your results in viewport ipr.

There isnt a quick hack unless you buy something. A real road has a lot of detail and layers…base asphalt, cracks, patches, dirt, tyre marks, weathering, gravel, rocks, leaves, camber…all this needs to be considered and built in to make it 100% photoreal. If you just need something for an animation and it will be motion blurred, you can skip a lot of those…but making sure you get a decent sized patch of road that isnt too tiled is also key. UDIMS can help in that regard.
